My thoughts only on how to contain the trending robberies in West New Britain Province, Papua New Guinea

As the governor of West New Britain, the safety and security of your constituents should be your top priority. To address and put a stop to the high incidence and prevalence of robberies and other crime-related activities in Kimbe town and the surrounding areas, here are some steps that can be taken:

Increase police presence and patrols: Request for additional police officers to be deployed to the affected areas to increase police presence and patrols. This will deter criminals and improve response times in case of emergencies.

Improve lighting and CCTV coverage: Install more street lights and CCTV cameras in strategic locations to increase visibility and surveillance of criminal activities, like done in lae at Top Town and the main Market. This will also help in the identification and prosecution of offenders.

Collaborate with the community: Engage with the local community and establish community watch groups to monitor and report suspicious activities to the police. Encourage residents to report any criminal activities promptly and provide them with a hotline number or other means to contact the police.

Strengthen laws and law enforcement: Work with relevant authorities to review and strengthen laws related to crime and punishment. Ensure that law enforcement agencies are adequately equipped and trained to deal with criminal activities. I'm just thinking building a prison facility on Kimbe Island and put all those criminals there, isolate them, give them a good rehabilitation.

Improve socio-economic conditions: Address the root causes of crime by improving socio-economic conditions in the affected areas. This can be done by providing job opportunities, improving infrastructure, and investing in education and healthcare.

Launch public awareness campaigns: Launch public awareness campaigns to educate the public about the dangers of crime and the importance of reporting to police.

Might involve alot of time, money and efforts😏
